'When we had just opened the special tent, we had few patients but now the cases are rising. We are worried the situation could get worse.' One health worker in Malawi shares her view from the front line of the country's cholera epidemic. More here:

BBCIt’s very rare for Nigerian presidential hopeful Bola Ahmed Tinubu to talk directly to the media.Frustrating for those present, perhaps, but more so for the Nigerians clamouring for answers ahead of February’s election, not just on the key policy issues of insecurity and unemployment, but on how Mr Tinubu amassed his personal wealth.

What’s being claimed is that he has benefitted from the state since leaving office as governor in 2007. He told me that those allegations are unproven.Insecurity across Nigeria is also a key issue. Does he have the solution?

“The West is yet to feel comfortable enough with a Buhari administration to sell us the arms and technology necessary. We have to look at alternatives - the mass recruitment of individuals in the volunteer army to really clean up the system.

Hmm. It is a very pathetic situation and the authority of Malawi should act now before it goes beyond expectations. May their souls rest in peace!
