This move goes beyond merely ensuring a safe workspace — it has an ethical, collective good at its heart

Last week we announced our intent to move to a mandatory vaccination policy effective January 1 for our SA-based employees. It received extensive media coverage and social media responses. It is a big step, and Discovery debated it at length and sought wide-ranging input

In addition, our own data mirrors the international research, proving Covid-19 vaccines to be extremely safe. Fewer than one in every 20 Discovery members who received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine showed any signs of side effects within seven days of vaccination, and almost all were mild and resolved quickly.

The government-led mass vaccination programme now has the capacity to vaccinate 400,000 individuals a day. It is free at the point of care, and there is ample stock. Unlike a few months ago where vaccine supply was the major obstacle to beating the pandemic,We believe corporate SA has a strong role to play to ensure vaccination at pace and scale. Our hope is that other organisations will follow suit, with a profound systemic impact on vaccination take-up.

This includes protecting employees from exposure to potential biological hazards, as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The steps we are taking to make all our buildings vaccinated-only zones include a similar appeals process.

Goodbye discovery

Hope people do cancel. Yes it will affect employees, but maybe we should stand on the side of freedom and humanity.. Don't be blinded by that big structure in sandton.

Discovery_SA The six points are myopic, forced vaccination is rape. And a criminal offense. You criminals are conspiring with psychopaths to inject humans with things that don’t belong inside a human body.

Simple, I am divesting my products. Think best activism, hurt them where it counts - their pockets. You would think deaths since 2020 have only been COVID. COVID survival rate in RSA 99,8%. It you don’t comply - employment terminated, no opportunities if supplier.

You mandate vaccines but don’t want to liable for their adverse side effects or death, that’s an epitome of hypocrisy

I was introduced into his platform by a friend I met online Dennismayson7. I thought it was a scam company as well.... But I was moved to try once again with Dennismayson7 I just wanna share this with my people, it was a WIN and i am GREATFUL.🙏🙏🙏🙏 GRATITUDES.
