Actuarial Society names new CEO

Mahomed will start in the new role from 1 July, taking over from Mike McDougall, who has been appointed Director of Learning at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK. McDougall spent 11 years at the helm of ASSA.

He has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, including the launch of a successful multinational Insurtech business in 2016. "Ensuring a relevant actuarial profession that is not only qualified to solve challenges unique to our country but that is also respected internationally is the society's principal goal," said Economou.
