CAPE TOWN - The Democratic Alliance and ActionSA are putting their differences aside and are preparing to join forces ahead of the 2024 provincial and national elections.
But first, DA leader John Steenhuisen and ActionSA president Herman Mashaba say they first need to build confidence in the prospects of successful national and provincial coalitions, by stabilising their partnerships at local government level.

This is wildly ambitious on their part. The one mistake that opposition parties must never make is assume they'll win elections outright. You don't take down a monolith like ANC in a single election. In all likelihood that cancerous party will get most of the vote. Hopefully not.
