Pongola horror crash: Truck driver 'must languish in jail' - KZN acting premier | News24Beefed up law enforcement visibility and speedbumps on the deadly N2 Pongola strip were among the measures KZN acting premier Nomagugu Simelane called for after a horror crash on Friday between a truck and a bakkie left 19 children and two adults dead. All the talk will die down in a week or two. They always act as if this is a new problem no one was aware of. Meanwhile the profits from trucking all these products are shared with politicians themselves so goodluck getting trucks off the road Speed bumps on a highway? We have people in charge that reacts to something after it happens. We don't have a proactive government.

Acting president Mabuza calls on SA not to attack truck drivers after KZN horror crashesActing president David Mabuza has called on concerned South Africans not to resort to violent acts against truck drivers after several horrific crashes in KwaZulu-Natal. U will defend truck drivers coz most of them owned by ur comrades thats why they killed Railways and use them since Tenders start to be fashionable..We must go back to use Rails as mode of transportation especially heavy objects Those affected by illegal & illegitimate practices made calls for intervening falling on deaf ears. Trucking company employers are the culprits. To me the message is clear. Anyone who is hired underhandedly faces a risk knowingly. Taking the law into one’s hands takes time.
