Murder accused Zonizelo Richard Magawu applied for all charges against him to be withdrawn as he believes the State has no evidence against him.

Kimberley - In a surprise application, double murder and kidnapping accused Zonizelo Richard Magawu on Monday applied for all charges against him to be withdrawn as he believes that the State has no evidence whatsoever against him.

Baatjies was kidnapped, forced into the boot of a car and shot multiple times in the head and body when he tried to escape from the moving vehicle. The legal representative for Magawu, Albert Buthelezi, said that there was no basis for the claims against his client, who had instructed that he should be cleared of any wrongdoing.

“We were not given notice of this application and are opposing the matter. The State relied on accomplished and credible witnesses. The evidence is more than enough for any reasonable court to convict the accused,” said Cloete.

DA rejects land reform and agriculture ‘high risk, low reward’ reportThe party said that the ANC's 'multiple failures and corruption' over 25 years has brought land reform to its knees. We expected that the white lobby group Our_DA would not endorse the land expropriation without compensation but it will happen whether they like it or not, actually we don't need their approval to take wat belong to us. Dankie for EFFSouthAfrica for showing direction about land 😂 Its really confusing if you're more about fighting inequality and poverty because you really need to give people the land. It's like rejecting a fight against increasing numbers of people dying from poverty.
