I do not think they were acquitted. I think the charges were withdrawn due to lack of evidence which opens the door for private prosecution.
No evidence linked the innocent men to the murder. Not DNA,no murdrr weapon, absolutely nothing. They just fit the description cos they are black and the state's Police vehicle had to be torched and some white extremists had to run into the courtroom and discharge firearms
