he 44th Cape Town Cycle Tour is taking place on Sunday with more than 22 000 cyclists participating.

Tare tipped for top honours in the men’s and women’s categories.Western Cape Premier Alan Winde says the event which attracts cyclists from all over the world will also give a much-needed economic injection that will help in the recovery of the hospitality sector following the pandemic. Last year, Hoffman won his fourth Cape Town Cycle Tour. Hoffman finished in a time of two hours and 37-minutes. In the women’s category, Kim Le Court secured a first-place finish with a time of two hours and 12-minutes.
