A local UK politician resigned because he couldn't stand people spreading rumors that he's BanksyPeople gather around fences that have been erected to protect the latest piece of artwork by the artist Banksy in Port Talbot, Wales, on December 20, 2018.William Gannon, a local politician in southwest Wales, handed in his resignation on Monday. The rumours that he is the anonymous artist were"undermining" his ability to work, he said.

"As you may be aware an allegation has been repeatedly made that I am not who I say I am but that I am the artist Banksy. A number of people believe that this allegation is true," Gannon wrote in the post.
