News24 previously reported that the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs warned residents to expect heavy rainfall that could potentially lead to flooding in coastal and midland districts on Monday.All disaster management centres have been activated to monitor the weather and risk, and to respond to any unforeseen events, the department said.
