Provincial health spokesperson Kwara Kekana said the department commenced with contact tracing immediately after it was made aware of the cluster outbreak.

Provincial health spokesperson Kwara Kekana said the department commenced with contact tracing immediately after it was made aware of the cluster outbreak.

She said the department was dealing with the matter by assisting with contact tracing, and screening and testing activities which were taking place at the school. There were earlier reports that the pupils who tested positive for Covid-19 participated in a rugby festival at the school. However, the school refuted the allegations.

“No inter-school games have happened to date, our first derby fixture was scheduled to take place on Saturday against St Alban's College. This traditional derby was been cancelled along with all sporting fixtures across all codes and age groups until Monday. We have sent our grade 11,12 and sixth form students into quarantine until Monday. They have already started their online classes,” West said.

Ramaphosa warns of 'vaccine apartheid' if rich countries hog Covid-19 shotsPresident Cyril Ramaphosa said that if wealthy nations hogged Covid-19 shots while millions in poor countries died waiting for them it would amount to ’vaccine apartheid’. True, but then why has Zim vaccinated more people than us. Mis-direction once again. Get your own house in order before commenting on others. Africa is the largest mineral industry in the world. Africa is the 2nd largest continent, with a population of 1.216 billion. We are not poor. We choose to be poor by way of corruption and greed. We also don't know when to stop breeding!
