Would it have come across better had they casted, say, Michael Moore in the role?
Ted Bundy was a good looking man and he used his good looks to lure in women. It would be ludicrous to use an ugly man to play the part of a killer that used his good looks to kill women.
Part of the issue with Ted Bundy was that he was handsome and well-spoken and charming. That's how he was able to trap his victims. I think Zac Efron is a good pick for this role for that reason. It would not have been accurate to pick an unattractive man.
Ted Bundy was a good looking guy. One of his victims introduced him to her parents & they thought him to be a polite, clean-cut young man. Looks can be very deceiving.
In the original Bundy TV Movie, Mark Harmon played him & he was handsome too.
It's acting
I’m not sure why they made a movie about him to start with. notwatching
Why crititize the film's casting? Bundy was a good looking man & highly intelligent. Women flocked to his trial, drawn by his magnestism despite him being on trail, then conviction & ultimately his execution for the murder of at least 36 women. He was a handsome, evil man
Who are your writers? Ted Bundy was described as good looking and charismatic. This is how he lured so many women. At his trial, he had a following of women like a rock star with groupies. Do your homework instead of mindless attention grabbing headlines.
A shame for the families who lost loved ones to suffer this pain again.
According to all I've read, Bundy was charismatic, good looking, and even liked. Efron is a good pick, and think he'll do fine.
Yeah, cause the MSM hasn't done enough of that already.. sheesh
its historically accurate about how bundy operated and how he got women to trust him. If you want to say zac is sexy, don't use this movie and narrative to do so. its inherently ingenious.
Only if you see Efron as a sex symbol
Guy looks the part.... seems like some type sexism cause guy is good looking so you can’t take him serious as an actor... which he is playing a guy that was known to be good looking and charming.... give me a fucking break
Should have been The Rock.
Yeah and if it wasnt that, theyd complain and criticize about something else. Netflix doesnt care, noone should. ITS A MOVIE YOU DIPSHITS. FOCUS YOUR ENERGY ON POLITICS, THERES A BUNCH THERE YOU COUKD CHANGE
From what I’ve seen he looks a lot like Bundy in this movie. I think he’ll be very convincing.
Ted Bundy was known as being a good looking man and a womanizer, sounds like they are trying to keep it real.
Instead of lauding this guy as a capable actor, pple are dec’ing to b sexist/demeaning.I hate to play this card bc I am 100% behind the Woman’s Empowerment Movem., but in this case if this was a woman & pple came after her 4 being 2 “sexy”, there would be protests in the street.
They want John Goodman? (No shade to John)
What about the movie that started Mark Harmon?
More proof that doesn't do any research before they let the kindergarten write their articles
ummmm guess usatoday never looked up their history...ted bundy had groupies and women who wanted to marry him and have his babies...proof read first
So.. an attractive person can't be a gruesome murderer?
Umm...Ted Buddy was an attractive man. This was part of what helped his ruse when he was selecting victims. This is stupid.
well stupid people (many of which were women) fawned over ted bundy's looks even while he was being charged and trial.
Were they supposed to make Bundy into an ugly man on the outside just because he was an ugly man on the inside
