Texas Republicans celebrate the May 2021 signing of the so-called “heartbeat” bill that ushered the state's virtual ban on abortion. While a doctor writes about her disapproval, another woman supports it.I always question broadly stated assertions.

I just don’t think these numbers support the letter writer’s assertion that Texas and Florida have kept “seniors safe” from COVID. Seniors are most at risk. In last Sunday’s opinion pages, there were three pieces about education — a very important topic. Missing was the most fundamental of questions: What is excellence in education, and how do we get there?

Hence, the increase in homeschooling, demand for charter schools and voucher programs to help parents to reduce the cost of private schools. Of course, public schools oppose them because they subtract from their funding. This is precisely why I am voting for him! I am so grateful Texans have this governor, who defends people, no matter how young, and respects nature!I am a retired obstetrician/gynecologist who belongs to the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians/Gynecologists. I cannot understand howpassed without listening to input from physicians. The position of ACOG on abortion is “Abortion is essential care.
