Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Shrader said 18-year-old Sol Pais was discovered by the FBI with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.During the manhunt, the FBI said Pais was “infatuated” with Columbine and made threats ahead of Saturday’s anniversary of the attack that killed 13 people at Columbine High School in 1999. The FBI described her “extremely dangerous.”
Agents had focused the search around the base of Mount Evans, a popular recreational area about 60 miles southwest of Denver. “This family contributed greatly to this investigation from the very onset. They provided valuable information that led us to Colorado and a lot of things that assisted in preventing maybe more loss of life,” he said.

katiefoody Actually there is a dispute over whether the purchase was legal or not. Federal law states that a sale to an out of state resident must comply with both Colorado law and the purchaser's home state law. Florida law has an age requirement of 21, plus a 3 day waiting period.
Just so we're clear; she had no obvious intent. Her plan from day one might have been to go off in the woods and take her own life. Everyone saying they're glad she did is a moron. You really think she was going to commit a mass shooting with a shotgun..?

Thank God no one else was hurt. But it's sad to see this young lady had to die. It seems that she was screaming for help. Apparently, no one was listening.
Now I HAVE to ask the obvious question. How did a mentally unstable 18 year old girl from another state just waltz into Colorado and buy a pump-action shotgun in the first place? Does ANYONE see something wrong with this insanity?

Her life was over when the FBI slandered her name & fucked her over without cause. There is no recovery from that vicious slander under color of law. No future, no jobs, no loving husband, no house or home, no adorable little children awaited her after what those cops did.
Obviously some mental health issues going on here and it’s disgusting she was able to buy a gun after making the threats and arriving in CO. We failed this woman.
