al Khoudary joins live from central Gaza and Imran Khan reports from the Jordanian capital, Amman on the latest World's decision

Unbelievably, on Monday, May 27, 2024, Enterprise High School’s 1968 class has been loose on the world for 56 years.Seems like yesterday we seniors grinned whenever we tuned to WBAM playing on an AM radio, with Bill J. Moody spinning seasonal oldies, Marty Robbins’ “Cap and Gown,” The Animals’ “We Gotta Get Out of This Place,” and The Bobby Fuller Four’s “I Fought the Law .”

People are also reading… It’s a good thing we already had joyous oldies in our lives’ soundtrack, especially when our graduation ceremony was flooded out of R.L. Bates Memorial Stadium and into the auditorium, possibly inspiring The Carpenters “Rainy Days and Mondays” three years later. Today, “The Letter” and “ The Dock Of The Bay,” by Alex Chilton/The Box Tops and Otis Redding, respectively, are the only entries off this list regularly played in the House of Adams, even though Dothan’s Bobby Goldsborough had the droopy-drawered hit, “Honey.”

More frequently, we listened to “Georgia Pines” The Showmen’s “39-21-40 Shape” and The Tams’ “I’ve Been Hurt,” “What Kind of Fool ” and the anthem many of us continue honoring: “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy.”
