Remember those mild days in December? Good, those memories should help insulate you over the next 24 to 36 hours as some of the coldest weather of the past three years will settle in over what remains of the residual snow and ice. Under partly cloudy skies, temperatures are forecast tonight to fall to the mid-teens, with winds 11 to 14 mph and gusts as high as 25. That will put the wind chill in Harrisburg at around 0 or slightly below.

While the sun will be out in full on Tuesday, the high will struggle to reach 25, and with breezes that could gust to 20 mph, it will feel like it’s closer to single digits. According to National Weather Service data, the last time high temperatures in Harrisburg failed to reach 25 took place on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2019. The highs both of those days was 17.will pass south of the area Saturday night into Sunday, bringing a bit of snow. If that storm develops once it reaches the coast, then snowfall amounts could rise.Partly cloudy, with a low around 15. Northwest wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.Tuesday NightMostly sunny, with a high near 39.
