Remember those mild days in December? Good, those memories should help insulate you over the next 24 to 36 hours as some of the coldest weather of the past three years will settle in over what remains of the residual snow and ice. Under partly cloudy skies, temperatures are forecast tonight to fall to the mid-teens, with winds 11 to 14 mph and gusts as high as 25. That will put the wind chill in Harrisburg at around 0 or slightly below.
While the sun will be out in full on Tuesday, the high will struggle to reach 25, and with breezes that could gust to 20 mph, it will feel like it’s closer to single digits. According to National Weather Service data, the last time high temperatures in Harrisburg failed to reach 25 took place on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2019.
