Wuhan woman with no symptoms infects five relatives with coronavirus: study

- A 20-year-old Chinese woman from Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, traveled 400 miles north to Anyang where she infected five relatives, without ever showing signs of infection, Chinese scientists reported on Friday, offering new evidence that the virus can be spread asymptomatically.

“Scientists have been asking if you can have this infection and not be ill? The answer is apparently, yes,” said Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, who was not involved in the study. “You had this patient from Wuhan where the virus is, traveling to where the virus wasn’t. She remained asymptomatic and infected a bunch of family members and you had a group of physicians who immediately seized on the moment and tested everyone.”

So can you be infected by looking at someone with the virus. Maybe you can get infected simply by thinking about it. Hahaha.

Its almost like viruses that have passed around in the past. Typhoid? Asymptomatic carriers, passing it on. Like Ebola bats making humans sick, but not sick themselves.

All Chinese professionals suddenly became very naive.

How can they be sure that this woman already carried the virus at the time she visited family and that her family got it directly from her? Maybe the virus was in some food she may have brought with her from Wuhan when visiting them... She then may have caught the virus later on

Have been suspecting that some people are able to naturally fight the virus, so not showing the symptoms despite incubating it.

This virus is outdoing itself.

This right here is super weird. So anybody ur around at any time could be infected and you'd never know it. This has turned into a whole new kinda of crazy.

China claimed asymptotic transmission weeks ago, which should make us wonder how much sooner they knew of the epidemic than they told the rest of the world
