President Biden plans to nominate Graham Steele, a long-time congressional staffer with ties to progressives, as assistant Treasury secretary for financial institutions

Mr. Steele is the director of the Corporations and Society Initiative at Stanford Graduate School of Business, which seeks to “promote more accountable capitalism and governance,” according to its website. He previously served as a staffer at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and also worked at Public Citizen, a progressive watchdog group, before joining Mr. Brown’s staff in 2010.

In recent years, he has been a vocal proponent of treating climate change as a systemic risk to the financial system, and called on U.S. regulators to do more to confront the potential dangers, such as more frequent wildfires or droughts that threaten banks’ physical assets., he argued the 2010 Dodd-Frank law gave regulators broad power to use macroprudential regulation to address climate-related risks, including through the Financial Stability Oversight Council and the Federal Reserve.

Biden becomes a divisive figure in N. Ireland as post-Brexit tensions simmerPresident Biden becomes a divisive figure in Northern Ireland for his pride in his Irish-Catholic ancestry as post-Brexit tensions simmer. Sadly this is as result of Boris Johnson's implementation of brexit, the ambiguity over the border is gone because my government wanted trade barriers with the EU, so you either have a border between the UK and NI or the Ireland and the UK. One Community loses out somehow. He’s apparently divisive around the world. Not nearly as divisive as Johnson, who is trying to duck out of an agreement he signed last year or the gangster Loyalist paramilitaries who set massive fires near Nationalist areas.

Surgeon general backs Biden criticism of vaccine misinformation after Facebook 'scapegoat' response'It's not enough...I'm asking these companies to step up and take responsibility for what's happening on their side,' said Vivek Murthy. Just a play to silence the people that disagree with their agenda. They can't prove a correlation and in fact know most people simply don't care Facebook needs to own its mistakes. If they don’t, then they’re admitting that misinformation is an inherent part of their platform. The same goes for Twitter.
