FILE - In this Sept. 7, 2019, file photo, fans cheer as Milwaukee Brewers' Christian Yelich walks off the field after driving in the winning run with a double during the ninth inning of the team's baseball game against the Chicago Cubs in Milwaukee. Major League Baseball players and owners are currently caught in a bitter dispute over how to start amid the coronavirus pandemic. Both sides occasionally mention fans, talking about doing right by them.
Both sides occasionally mention fans, talking about doing right by them. But apart from taking sides, how do the fans feel — would they consider a severely shortened schedule legit? “I think any rate-based stat record — batting average, ERA — would have to be considered an anomaly,” Oakland fan Adam Brooks said.
“If a player hits three home runs or the cycle in a single game, I would count that in their personal stats without an asterisk,” she said. No one disputes the Los Angeles Dodgers' title in 1981 during a strike-split season in which every team played over 100 games. And there's no debate about the third of four straight NL Cy Young Awards won by Greg Maddux in a 1994 season ended in August by a players' strike.
To everyone in MLB fans, Cheer up, Everything's gonna be alright. Let's wait and see.
Who cares..no sports are gonna happen this year. Think we can survive...and for those ball players, no play, no salary for this year. Lawyers can call it an act of god or whatever bullshit they pull out their ass and feed the judge

Major League Sports are in a race to see which can get back on track. They know that once the schools open up and people start discovering the joys of high school and little league sports, the desire to watch grown, spoiled millionaires playing will be a thing of the past.

There will be a 50 % drop in attendance in 2021 if they don't resolve this.
I am really worried. I have loved baseball since 1958. I thought I'd go crazy without it. Now I can say I honestly don't miss it, except when it rains and there's nothing to watch on TV. Maybe I did go crazy.
Wasn't a problem with H1N1.
Meanwhile 40 million Americans are unemployed. Baseball millionaires fighting over their piece of the billions of dollars during a pandemic may be the last straw for this great sport that was already dying in this instant gratification world.
