Burning methanol as fuel creates carbon dioxide! Lime production needs energy, where does that energy come from? Electricity. Electricity is generated (currently) by burning coal, oil or gas. Burning coal, oil or gas creates carbon dioxide. Dirty!

With methanol we can run higher compression ratios in engines. That in turn creates more horsepower and torque while reducing emissions. RACE GAS IS EXPENSIVE THOUGH.

methanol is dangerous to humans - causes liver damage and blindness. humans can't tell the difference between regular alcohol (ethanol) vs methanol until it is too late.
