The 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup, which was postponed because of the pandemic, will be played in England in October and November. New Zealand is the defending champion after beating England for the 2017 title. The U.S. won the inaugural Women’s World Cup in 1991 that was played in Wales and finished runner-up in the 1994 and 1998 events.The Legion have three games remaining this season, including their home finale Sunday at the SDSU Sports Deck. They will be among the new tenants next year at Snapdragon Stadium.
