'We never know who he's talking to or what he's agreed to.' Trump encourages world leaders to talk to him directly, bypassing diplomatic protocol.

WASHINGTON—World leaders have found a new route to get a read on official U.S. thinking: straight to the top.

Increasingly, savvy leaders are bypassing the standard protocols and government processes of American diplomacy to go directly to President Trump himself, according to current and former officials, allies and foreign-policy experts.

mulieann We got our own village idiot. No need to point fingers at other countries anymore.

CindyOtis_ I thought we knew this from just after his election.

davidfrum He's the one heading over a cliff, not us. Any minute, we can let go of his lifeline. Just need to get together on it.

Yes, I think he is doing that because of the very polarised country people and media spewing half truths from either sides making we the neutral people unsure of what to believe and where America is headed. Sad isn't it?

Narcistic egoïstic behaviour Read this carefully

“Hello, White House? No, straight through please. It’s personal.”

Good

I think that’s great

Direct is my end request

He will become a real millionaire once he leave office. Setting the table

davidfrum 'We never know who he's [Trump] talking to or what he's agreed to.' Not to worry. Trump doesn't either.

Demonstrates he's even more naive, and foolish than we thought.

Why not just give him a tyre to play with?

Why is that not absolutely terrifying, even to Republicans?

davidfrum Donald doesn’t snicker at Melania’s choices. He’s one of them.

Another brick in the wall...

Thr big money is after you leave office..puts himself frist. 😐

GOOD!!! Judging what happens to getting done, what he was elected to do. IF IT GOES TO CONGRESS NOTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED to benefit AMERICANS. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Trump has the weaknesses of a small businessman.

More fake news from the nazi propaganda tactics of tabloid.

Great! Now foreign leaders can sidestep anybody who has any knowledge of foreign policy or world diplomacy and go straight to our clueless president. This trump shitshow just keeps getting better and better.

davidfrum Can't get rid of him fast enough!

Is there any protocol he doesn't bypass?

Exactly the way he wants it. The highest office in our nation is being used as leverage to build Trump's personal wealth.

davidfrum Mitch McConnell, the keeper of the American democracy, are you there Hello!!!!!!

MelissaJPeltier Yeah feel free to call the orange idiot in chief to rope-a-dope him in negotiating something favorable for your country..

And you can't see this as a bad thing? According to everyone- the US is already screwed up... Most of those people have been in office for a lot longer than TRUMP!. Do it different and do it correct. No use in doing the same thing over and over.

davidfrum As dangerous as it gets! Trumpthewonderclown

MelissaJPeltier About his business development and collusion

Crump 🤡 doesn’t want to share his profits with no one else. They get paid less or nothing undercutting America. To fill his pockets and Lie Of The Deal for whom is it benefiting Russia. Because he’ll tell America a different story of what he talked about on the phone

/oo Mr President was talking to Sir Dr. Dark Vador /oo\\ this morning.. Sir Vador /oo and Mr President discussed the political situation on planet earth and how we can make the world 🗺 a better place by Making America 🇺🇸 Great 👍 again¡

Take advantage of the dotard

lol. President Dunning-Kruger has GOT THIS.

Recall how monumentally dumb and desperate he is with world leaders in private

GlennKesslerWP Jesus people come on! This is NOT ok gop!!!

then every world leader can experience first hand just how stupid he really is.

JoMajority 'We never know who he's talking to or what he's agreed to.' Trump encourages world mobsters to talk to him directly, bypassing justice protocol.

What a load of mythology creating fabrication about a filterless scammer who broke into the White House, JFK talked incessantly to world leaders including Kruschev, so did Nixon and Carter, Thatcher daily called around world leaders...leaders are reluctant to talk to a brash fool

Neither does he

How come no one mentions that Trump plagiarized for his book the title of General Sun Tzu ('The Art of War'), written around the 5th century? Has the illegitimate President ever done anything original? Oh well, his hair! The perfect bird's nest! LOL

Of all the horrifying aspects of this lunatic’s presidency (and there are too many to count), this is the most alarming. The presence of Donald Trump in the Oval Office remains the greatest emergency the US has faced in generations. He truly is a monster.

davidfrum That's so he can cut side deals for himself. He's the mob-boss president.

And what is wrong with a fresh approach to governing and international relations

davidfrum Go ahead LindseyGrahamSC please tell all why this is good for the US? How about you GOPLeader ? Any thought here tedcruz - just answer this, what would you think and do if this was 44 or HRC? ComplicitGOP

davidfrum Which means if you work for him as a diplomat you are the definition of a flunky cc Mike Pompeo

davidfrum This end run around diplomatic protocol may mean Trump presidency largely ignored by history, but also leave little to learn from what exactly happened in the White House.

Go around mom and dad and go straight to the toddler.

davidfrum What was the problem with Clinton's email server again?

Good cuz the normal way wasnt working Foggy Bottom wants to control everything

He is the de-facto King of the USA. Trump the First.

He will say this is fake news and I have to listen to only him. Why do I feel like he wants to emulate the N Korean society? Do what I say or you will fail....

davidfrum

davidfrum Seems like a very cool, totally legal and stable genius way to run the country

IOW the Washington bureaucrats aren't getting any inside information that they can capitalize off of. In the stock market we call that Insider Trading.

LOL. Neoliberals can't control the monster they created.
