Bauer was a part of the crowd that forced the U.S. Capitol Police to retreat up the stairs, before she was eventually escorted out of the building, the federal government said. More than 1,000 people have been arrested on charges related to the Capitol breach on Jan. 6, 2021, in the largest criminal investigation in the Justice Department's history. And over 300 defendants have been charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement, according to the Justice Department.
