The New York Times reported that the boys’ mother, Jordan Herbert, was told by the superintendent of the school district in Ardmore, Oklahoma, that political apparel would “not be allowed at school.” Bentlee, who is a third-grader at Charles Evans Elementary, went to class in the Black Lives Matter shirt that he picked out himself to wear on April 30, according to his mother. Hate to admit it, but I agree with the no political apparel in school. You'll have other parents sending their kids to class with MAGA hats in response, and then every child will be in petty factional squabbles before they even know how to do PEMDAS. Good School is a place for learning, not for making your views known. I'm all for uniforms or at least banning all statements/ team support(other than your school)/'extreme' clothing trends. Make your fashion statements away from schools.
