Wolcott woman arrested after car theft and police chase through Wayne County

Wayne County, N.Y. — Chyenne M. Gonyeau, 25, of Wolcott, was arrested on multiple charges after a theft at Walgreen's in the Town of Butler, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.While on their way, they spotted Gonyeau driving the vehicle westbound on Route 104 in the Town of Huron. Gonyeau did not stop and led deputies on a chase through the Town of Huron, Sodus, and into Williamson.

In February, Gonyeau was involved in a similar incident in which she led police on a chase through Wayne and Monroe counties, which ended in a crash on State Route 590 near Tryon Park in Rochester.Following this latest crash, Gonyeau was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, unlawful fleeing a police officer in the third degree in both Sodus and Huron, as well as several uniformed traffic tickets.
