Witness says 4 suicide bombers targeted mosque containing hundreds for prayers, killing 32

Four suicide bombers attacked a Shiite mosque containing hundreds of people gathered for prayers on Friday in southern Afghanistan, killing at least 32 people and wounding 68, a witness said.

An Afghan man by the name of Murtaza said he was inside the mosque during the attack and reported four explosions, the Associated Press reported. Two occurred outside the mosque and the other two inside. He said Friday prayers typically draw hundreds of people. Taliban spokesman Bilal Karimi gave the number of dead and wounded from the attack, but a local hospital official said the toll was higher. The official was not authorized to speak to the media and spoke on the condition of anonymity but reportedly said at least 37 people were killed and more than 70 wounded.Four suicide bombers attacked a mosque filled with hundreds of people on Friday, a witness reported, killing at least 32 people.
