But the filthiest makeup products, according to Bashir, are beauty blenders — sponges used to blend foundation and contour skin, which have grown in popularity in recent years. "You put your little sponge on there," she said, before groaning, "bacteria's getting on the sponge, and you're going to potentially contaminate your liquid foundation."
