ODOT says it has more than 166,000 tons of salt on hand and the ability to make their own salt brine, to combat the rain, snow, and ice. ODOT employees have geared up for 12-hour shifts, and mechanics have started up the snowplows.

On Monday around noon the National Weather Service in Cleveland had reports of 15” in Cleveland, and 25” in Madison with more to come throughout the day.CLEVELAND, Ohio – Officials are bracing for Groundhog Day, when a winter storm named Landon is forecasted to cover more than 2,000 miles and at least 19 states.

About 10 to 13 inches of snow is expected, with the heaviest accumulation Wednesday night through Thursday. On Friday, temperatures will drop.
