The success of the Night Court revival is bluntly explained by a leading NBC executive. In the reboot of the popular 1980s sitcom, Big Bang Theory alum Melissa Rauch stars as Abby Stone. The daughter of the late Harry Stone from the original series, Abby has a sunny outlook on a job that most of those around her can't wait to be free of. That includes Dan Fielding , who reluctantly accepts Abby's offer to become a public defender.
I think to like—reboot “Friends” would be very impossible because people know those episodes inside and out and they know every line. That’s gonna be sad. “Night Court” is, like, this, like, warm hug. I have these fond memories. I remember loving the show. But tell someone, “like give me a specific episode.” And they have a really hard time doing it and couldn’t do it. And yeah, so… it’s just interesting.
There's a rather noisy minority convinced it's terrible and that everyone agrees with them. They don't, but still they swamp the comments every time the new show is mentioned. Same with that other recent sequel on Netflix. Tiresome folks.
Too bad it’s on a dead station with no standard subscription. Join Paramount. At least they have a sensible sub.

It's not funny though
It’s not doing that well it dropped a lot in ratings this week.
Also there’s a screaming void for sitcoms right now..
