Tech leaders want to see their workers stop pushing back.

After a long weekend away, today let’s talk about the largely positive reception that Elon Musk’s radical remaking of Twitter is getting from tech CEOs — and whether those views are likely to change if the fight that Musk is picking with Apple erodes even more value from his $44 billion purchase.Last week, Musk publicly mocked Twitter’s somewhat notorious “Stay Woke” T-shirts.

Of course, to frame Twitter’s 2016 swag as a kind of retroactive admission of guilt erases a significant amount of relevant cultural history: of the historic importance of Black Twitter to making the service culturally relevant; of Silicon Valley’s mostly terrible track record at hiring people outside the non-white, non-male norm; of 2016 as a turning point when Twitter began to stand with the users of its platform who were most likely to be targets of harassment and abuse, rather than to...

Take David Heinemeier Hansson, creator of the web development framework Ruby on Rails and co-founder of Basecamp. Last year,Hansson and Basecamp CEO Jason Fried banned “societal and political discussions” on the company’s internal forums For executives who have been looking for an excuse to stop pretending that they care about diversity issues, then, Musk seems to be providing huge inspiration.

This is what I’m his side for is maybe getting rid of Apple 30% cut and harsh regulations on App Store maybe having third party options.

Money

US and workers/human rights, when has that gone hand-in-hand?

Clown tech CEOs

Who doesn’t like a little free speech? Oh, wait…

tl;dr: they also want to treat employees like dirt and are eager to see what he can get away with.

Why not?

CEOs didn't grant perks & benefits out of the goodness of their hearts. They have none. They did it to hire when people were scarce. Now that the job market is in their favor, they'll backtrack. BTW tech workers aren't privileged, it's everyone else that's treated like 💩

We're a startup and I can't be more excited! Only reason why we are on here!

Is it because they’re tech CEO’s and their community is very insular?

I mean...sure. Greedy vulture capitalists inspired by a blood sucking vampire who treats workers like garbage, pays the absolute minimum for labor, and funnels the greatest possible share of their earned revenue directly into his massive bank account. More on News at 11

Because they like capitalist pigs that break the law?

Because they're just as vapid and/ or racist as Musk is.

But the Verge isn’t. Lol

Is it because they are tech CEO's?

💸

Because if Elon is successful, it means that literally *anyone* can run a tech company.

Others root for tik tok Chinese algorithm

I hope he loses simply because he’s a ninny, but Apple does need to get bent on their monopoly

Companies are being hijacked

They are obviously not WOKE CEO's if they support free speech and open moderation.

Because he's the one that can challenge the Apple's monopoly!! and generate more business for other tech companies!!

No one's really rooting AGAINST him, but we see the writing on the wall and might as well mock his incompetence as he sinks one of the last old internet-type sites.

The man's a natural controversy magnet in a good way.. He's build an image of a savior that will lead humanity some day!

The Ending of ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ Brutally Mocks Elon Musk-Type CEOsThe sequel to Rian Johnson’s killer murder mystery introduces a new crime and a batch of suspects—and its shocking finale is an on-point social critique for our times. I'll let you know when I get tired of it! I’m sure the comparisons between this film and Musk buying Twitter were always coincidental. But Blanc’s “Miles Bron is an idiot” line might be one of my favorite quotes of the move. Pass the BBQ sauce.

Alyssa Milano mocked for 'performative activism' after ditching Tesla to protest Elon Musk, 'white supremacy''Outnumbered' panelists criticized Alyssa Milano after tweeting that she 'gave back' her Tesla and attempted to shame advertisers for their alignment with the platform. Does she even know that she's White! So she's protesting against herself! 😆 🤣 😂 I believe she then bought a car sponsored by Adolf Hitler. 'People Car' or Volks...Wagon. Never mind, history is obviously not one of her subjects.
