As she joins the MCU in Ms. Marvel, Iman Vellani reveals that she doesn't want to meet Robert Downey Jr., aka Iron Man. Marvel Studios' next Disney+ series will debut on June 8, 2022. Ms. Marvel follows Moon Knight's suit as it introduces an entirely new character in the MCU in Vellani's Kamala Khan.
Bad Boys for Life directing duo, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, helm the Disney+ show, while Bisha K. Ali serves as head writer. Ms. Marvel marks the live-action debut of the character who was first introduced in Marvel Comics in 2014 and was created by Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker. Joining Vellani in the Ms. Marvel cast is Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Laurel Marsden, Adaku Ononogbo, Laith Nakli, Travina Springer, and Aramis Knight.
Despite their divergent MCU arcs, it's possible that Vellani and Downey may meet in the future. As Vellani establishes herself as one of the new rising Hollywood stars with Ms. Marvel, she may encounter Downey while making the rounds in the industry, as the actor moves away from superhero projects after playing Iron Man for over a decade. Within the confines of the MCU, however, while Marvel can bring back Iron Man if it wants to , this may be a while off.
