This unpaid labor that women do outside of the workforce often results in a career break that has both short-term and long-term effects.

"Any leader who practices empathy will say, 'Look, you can have both,'" Morgan says. "You don't need to sacrifice one for the other."Long-term flexible work options won't just benefit women at work — it may also be a plus for women at home.
