Why is it so hard to end gun violence? Blame distrust in cops, ‘snitch’ worries and police staffing

In fact, 90% of people injured in Harrisburg non-fatal shootings don’t cooperate with police, according to police Lt. Kyle Gautsch. That’s because they don’t want to be labeled a “snitch,” and are worried about the ostracism and retaliation they could face while living in a city as small as Harrisburg.

It's the guns

Because the solution to gun violence isn’t a simple fix. It involves restoring the family and the role of the church in the community. Nuclear families who regularly attend worship services are not out in the streets committing crime.
