House of the Dragon season 2 plans to continue filming in the UK despite the actors joining the writers in a historic Hollywood strike.

This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available. House of the Dragon season 2 can continue filming despite the actors' strike. The Game of Thrones prequel show started filming its second season in early April, a month before the Writers Guild of America went on strike in early May.

However, House of the Dragon season 2 should still proceed as planned. According to Variety, the show can continue filming in the UK despite the SAG-AFTRA strike due to local union rules. The House of the Dragon cast is comprised almost entirely of UK actors who are working under a different union known as Equity, whose members aren’t legally allowed to strike in solidarity with SAG-AFTRA.
