Early issues of Skybound's Energon Universe titles have shown the link between G.I. Joe and Transformers will come with a great deal of animosity.

The Transformers and G.I. Joe are back thanks to Skybound’s Energon Universe, with their new origins tied more closely together than ever. However, just because they’ll be sharing the same universe doesn’t mean they’ll be getting along. In fact, according to writer Joshua Williamson, future Joe leader Duke absolutely hates the Robots in Disguise…

Williamson went on to state that “it goes very badly, and it’s very bloody. It messes him up.” Williamson then explained that the future Joe leader’s story picks up in Duke #1, written by Williamson, and featuring art by Tom Reilly and Jordie Bellaire.Duke's Hatred Of The Transformers Comes From His Initial Close Encounter When looking at the preview for Duke #1, Conrad S. Hauser certainly looks the worse for wear while being dressed down by General Hawk.
