"We're gonna have some very warm temperatures," Puma said, with highs around 88 Tuesday and in the 90s Wednesday.
But on Thursday, high temperatures will take a dramatic drop into the lower 70s, which is more normal for this time of year, Puma said. "We will have a cold front move across the area on Wednesday night, and that will bring some much cooler weather for Thursday and for the end of the workweek into Friday," Puma said.according to a tweet from NWS Indianapolis.
While these types of warm air masses aren't necessarily common, it's not unusual to still have some remnants of summer warmth this time of year, Puma said. Cooler weather is expected for the rest of September into early October, with average highs in the lower 70s and average lows in the 50s and high 40s, Puma said.
