There's a strong argument to be made that good socialisation makes men less violent than they would be without it. However, that does not mean that socialisation is the only factor at play.
Testosterone has been conclusively demonstrated to increase behaviors related to hierarchical dominance; when there are non-violent outlets, as is the case with wealthy and educated men, it manifests as career/social domination. But for poor uneducated men, it's usually violence.
I think this discussion would benefit greatly from distinguishing between a PROCLIVITY towards violence and actual violent BEHAVIOUR.
