And, according to an attorney’s memoir, she also torpedoed a negotiated settlement in 1993 to a years-long lawsuit regarding the desegregation of Delaware’s schools.
Watson has been accused of sexual misconduct by nearly 30 women. Earlier this month, he settled 20 of 24 lawsuits filed against him. Robinson was confirmed the next month by unanimous consent.
During her five-minute statement, Robinson said that she was committed to due process, a constitutional right that requires accused parties receive a chance to defend themselves against claims before any punishment is doled out.
