Joining Houston as inductees this year will be another late icon, rapper The Notorious B.I.G., as well as The Doobie Brothers, '80s synth-pop pioneers Depeche Mode, alt-rock veterans Nine Inch Nails and British glam rockers T. Rex. Houston sold 200 million records worldwide was the first artist to have seven consecutive No. 1 hits.
She was also the first female artist to have an album debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her awards are so numerous that she's in the Guinness Book of World Records.
