WHITEHALL, Ohio — An ATM theft from late March landed a thief with more than a quarter of a million dollars, but not for long.
Whitehall police started their investigation into the incident. Detectives were able to track the car down using local surveillance cameras and the city’s Flock cameras. The car was captured on camera coming into the city without any plates but was later captured with Texas plates. Whitehall Detective Jason Kubinski said the poor tint job on the car was a defining feature. The rear window tint was pocked with air bubbled and didn’t cover the entirety of the glass.
