The White House declined to corroborate reports that President Joe Biden will submit a supplemental funding request to Congress linking security aid for both Israel and Ukraine to future aid for Taiwan and additional funding for operations at the southern border.

NBC News reported Wednesday afternoon that senior administration officials had briefed Democratic lawmakers earlier in the day on such a funding request.National Security Council spokesman John Kirby briefly addressed conversations White House officials are having with lawmakers about future aid but would not comment on the NBC report.

"We're in active conversations with Congress about additional funding that we know we need specifically for Israel and for Ukraine," he stated."I'm not prepared to detail those conversations for you right now or tell you what the parameters are going to be because, frankly, those parameters haven't been decided upon, but we are in active discussions about additional funding we need.
