Stocks fell on Tuesday after a top U.S. trade official indicated that higher tariffs on Chinese goods are coming later this week.

The White House on Tuesday directed former counsel Donald McGahn to hold onto documents related to special counsel Robert Mueller's probe.

The House Judiciary Committee had demanded the documents with a subpoena that set Tuesday as the deadline. In a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., White House counsel Pat Cipollone wrote that the documents "remain legally protected from disclosure under longstanding constitutional principles, because they implicate significant Executive Branch confidentiality interests and executive privilege."

McGahn's own counsel confirmed to Nadler that McGahn will not comply with the committee's subpoena. That attorney, William Burck, wrote in a letter to Nadler that "the appropriate response for Mr. McGahn is to maintain the status quo unless and until" Congress can reach an agreement with the executive branch.to McGahn last month shortly after a partially redacted version of Mueller's report was released to the public.

Good. Find him in contempt and arrest him.

The presidency has become a criminal organization. McGahn must testify even if Trump threatens him with death.

That is clearly Obstruction and abuse of power. Impeachment now

SURPRISE!!!!!!

The train is off the track. We are witnessing the final death blow to our Republic. My God, the world that my children will grow up in, my God. 😔

TotallyExonerated The term FuckWad should be used more frequently to describe DerangedDonald.

Thank you.

This is why IT IS NOT OVER! MuellerReport

Can't not be totally exonerated if you don't share the documents that don't not totally exonerate you. (Wait what?)

What he said way - He has the right not to comply which he does

Congress is attempting to force AG Barr and McGahn to break the law.

Shocking. Congress, please don't let them get away with that.

Wtf 🤔

Don McGahn as a private citizen is allowed to tell the white house to go fuck itself he's not going to break the law.

This is blatant obstruction. Too much protesting for innocence

Give it up radical Communist propaganda lovers!!!!

He’s directing McGahn to not comply with lawful orders and we’re all supposed to believe Cohen and Manafort acted on their own. Right.
