"What they did in Texas was interesting, and I haven't really been able to look enough about it," DeSantis said."They've basically done this through private right-of-action, so it's a little bit different than how a lot of these debates have gone. So we'll have to look; I'm going to look more significantly at it."South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem speaks during the Family Leadership Summit in Des Moines, Iowa, July 16, 2021.
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem tweeted Thursday that she's asked someone in her office to look into Texas' new anti-abortion law and how it compares to South Dakota's. "Following the Supreme Court's decision to leave the pro-life TX law in place, I have directed the Unborn Child Advocate in my office to immediately review the new TX law and current South Dakota laws to make sure we have the strongest pro life laws on the books in SD," she, a research group that supports reproductive rights, in South Dakota abortion is banned at 20 or more weeks post-fertilization except in cases of"life endangerment or severely compromised health.
If the state wants to implement this, are they going to increase child care, health care, education support and financially support single mothers? With child tax benefits and extra curricular activities, financial aid for college? Aid with housing/food/basic survival?
10,000 bounty out on women and the Supreme Court thinks this is a good law. Mark my words, women will be marching to protect our rights and we will be surrounded by men with guns, just like the taliban women were this morning trying to protect their rights, WTF AMERICA!
Why does the evangelical Taliban have such a problem keeping their bible out of women's vagina?
Pathetic
In gun-obsessed TX.... ... Picture an open-carry abortion bounty hunter attempting to bring in an Uber driver he suspects drove a woman to the clinic. The driver is also armed. Gun fight ensues. Stand your ground law. The bounty hunter, driver & several Texas civilians die.
The GOP brands Democrats as baby killers, so why do Dems stubbornly refuse to offer & support a viable alternative to abortion. For example, making it legal for non-profits to pay a woman's prenatal & delivery expenses in return for her giving up her baby for adoption.
Step up and sell your soul, that’s all Trump is asking for. All you have to do is follow him or as Trump says pledge your loyalty! Isn’t that how the devil works? When he says I’ll see you in hell he means it!
Abotions are women's constitutional right in line with Row v. Wade. We must respect people's rights& their choices.Whether someone wants to undergo abortion or not is her decision.Every woman deserves that privacy. The law amounts to regulating people's private lives & decisions.
How did the Taliban, less than a month after taking over Afghanistan, move on to take over Texas? Now they’re moving on to other states? Are they in cahoots with Putin?
I against killing babies!!! Give them away if you need to
Unborn. Lives. Matter.. and they know what causes pregnancy now. Except in cases of rape or incest, The 'choice' begins before the fact.
You used the word severe. You are shameful. It is not a severe law it is the only law that all 50 states should have in place. It’s still murder in my eyes.
Texas leads the way to ignorance and discrimination, and Republicans can proudly say that they have played a big part in bringing this about.
Severe for who?
It will be nice to wake up in Texas and say wow i am not killing babies anymore because demons no longer have a law supporting murder of innocents anymore now its between the mom her dr and god as should be! Abortion was never to be used as birth control or selling fetal organs!
