If Ferrari and Charles Leclerc are going to get back into this championship fight, they need to strike while the iron is hot. The Ferrari once again seems to have race-winning pace this month, particularly on the classic natural terrain road courses that make up so much of this European leg of the Summer schedule. With just two races before a four week break that will allow Red Bull to catch back up with upgrades, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. need wins more than ever.
Thankfully for Ferrari, Leclerc will start from pole tomorrow. Unfortunately, his 3/10th advantage in qualifying was not matched by his teammate and he will have to again share a front row with Max Verstappen. Holding off the championship leader in the opening laps of races has been a major concern for Leclerc, once that he'll have to contend with again in France if he wants to keep any hope of a championship alive.
