The Clone Wars was unceremoniously canceled after five seasons in 2013, leaving many story arcs unresolved, and only 12 more episodes were released on Netflix the following year.
Star Wars Sequels And Spinoffs 2015 - 2019 Star Wars: The Force Awakens had its long-awaited premiere in 2015, becoming a commercial hit and a global phenomenon. The movie captured the magic of the original trilogy while winning over a new generation of fans, building excitement for the franchise's future. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story became the first theatrically released live-action Star Wars spinoff film, continuing the success started by The Force Awakens.
