Anyone living in southeast L.A. and northeast Orange counties should prepare to hunker down.

Southern California residents can expect another powerful bout of rain to sweep through the area early Tuesday morning, Feb. 20, into Wednesday, with weather forecasters warning of potential flooding across numerous areas of greater Los Angeles and Orange counties and the Inland Empire.

Residents from Anaheim to Hemet can expect to see, in total from this storm, one and a half to two inches of rain through Wednesday, according to the NWS.There’s the possibility of thunderstorms, mostly along the coast and in the valleys. Los Angeles City firefighters at the scene of a traffic accident in the 14600 block of Lassen St in Mission Hills, CA., Monday, Feb. 19, 2024. A car lost control and hit several parked cars at the location. An official at the scene said there were no injuries and that speed, wet roadway and possibly an impaired driver lead to the crash.
