Black holes are regions of spacetime where gravity is so extreme that nothing, not even light—the fastest thing in the universe—can escape.

Black holes are some of the most enigmatic and extreme astronomical phenomena that we know about in the universe. But what what would happen if you fell into one?

Surrounding this is a region known as the event horizon—the boundary beyond which nothing can escape due the extreme gravitational pull. The event horizon is named as such because it is impossible to observe any event taking place inside it. According to Farr, the event horizon for a typical"stellar mass" black hole, say 10 times the mass of our sun, is about 30 kilometers from its center. For a supermassive black hole the size of the one at the center of our galaxy, this figure is far larger—around 12 million kilometers .

"—essentially, they would be stretched out vertically, like spaghetti dough being stretched by a chef . "The astronaut crossing the supermassive black hole should enjoy the trip," Starkman said."They probably won't notice anything unusual, except that the communications from home will become strange—it will seem like they aren't keeping up to date on your travels."

Yet another reason I'm glad I'm not a religious person at all. It does go against the woke doctrine for now. Kuddos for the Priest that stood up for logic. Nah they are supremacist flags. BLM = black supremacy. Pride = gay supremacy.
