Coronavirus infections in children are up, likely reflecting increased testing, but many questions remain

On Wednesday, the state of Texas reported 1,695 coronavirus infections among children and staff at child-care centers, up from 817 at the beginning of last week. Rising infections among children have parents and educators across the country concerned about schools’ potential reopening in the fall.

Young people has lower chance of dying

No-we are barely testing adults.

It helps to read the article folks! Only 1% of hospitalized are kids. (Most likely w/known risk factors). Most get mild symptoms or asymptomatic. Kids are very low risk. Teachers can stay safe w/masks, cleaning & limited close contact. Other countries opened schools. We can too.

Wearing masks and social distancing in schools will be impossible tasks to enforce. While children may not be harmed if infected, they could infect vulnerable family members. Online learning seems the best option for at least the next few months even with its drawbacks.

We have a president who hell bent over on sending our children into rampant high level schools of covid-19. Yet he chose to ignore the facts that our next generation are questionable, I know once students goes back to school, He will forced the parents to go back to work.

Hospitalizations are up, not due to increased testing. The virus is spreading, it’s not just increased testing.
