Access to legal abortion, and even birth control, has always been a critical issue for women that doesn’t receive enough attention on the national stage. But it’s become an even more critical issue in the 2020 election: Virtual bans on abortion passed by some state legislatures could lead to criminal prosecution of women and their doctors, and the Supreme Court is poised to further restrict the right to abortion.

Women make up only 12 percent of police nationwide. There is substantial research that shows police response to violence against women has been severely hampered by that gender gap: arrests are not made, prosecutions not pursued, rape evidence kits go untested.

Closing the income gap would cut in half the poverty rate among working women from 8 to 3.8 percent, and 2.5 million children would no longer live in poverty.will each candidate do to protect Afghan women’s rights and their ability to fully participate in civil society?

During the GE debate a man asked HRC & DT to say something nice about each other. The man was lauded by MSM. But HRC was forced to say something nice about her abuser. I want to know if the current Dem candidates also think that man a debate hero, or the vile pos that he is.
