What It’s Like to Spend the Night at Versailles

to Versailles, a rainy city day gave way to walls of greenery and autumn leaves. My driver was familiar with this trip: Since the hotel group Airelles opened the only place to stay within the palace grounds in June, he had ferried guests to and from it.

Each morning and night, hotel guests are invited to enjoy after-hours access to the palace. Then head to the indoor pool and sauna, which can be booked in advance to ensure privacy and is connected to the Valmont Spa.
